YOUR CONSULTANT
My name is Garry Hackett. I will be your consultant and am the Managing Director for AvBiz-NZ. I am a Professional Consultant, Maintenance Controller, Safety Manager, Lead Auditor, Technical Writer, LAME, and Training Instructor.
Over the past few years you may have met me during CAA audits, certifications, SMS, or even for training in airworthiness or Certificate of Inspection Authorisation (IA) courses.
I've always had an interest in helping business to succeed. Hence I did a stint through South East Asia as a consultant helping Asian airlines and maintenance facilities to develop procedures and manuals to equal the ICAO world standards.
As a maintenance controller and airworthiness manager, I looked after and was familiar with aircraft from a Robinson through AS350s to even large wide body airline aircraft. I'm a specialist with exposition writing, maintenance and control auditing, SMS systems and business analysis.
Now I wish to give back to NZ. If you have a question about maintenance control, quality, safety, or even regulatory requirements, or if you wish to try our services, please contact me. I'll do my best to get an answer for you.
